We offer the following styles of dance at Dance Infusion

Preschool Ballet/Tap Combo Class

Ages 3 & 4 yrs. Students learn basic beginner ballet technique and an understanding of tap rhythms. They will gain and increase coordination, balance, rhythm, strength and agility. The Ballet/Tap combo class will perform one dance in our annual dance recital. This is a 45 minute class that runs once a week.

A Variety of Combo Classes

Pre-K to Age 7yrs. We offer many combinations of different styles of dance in combo classes for these ages such as Ballet/Hiphop, Tap/Jazz, etc. Combination classes are a great way to introduce young movers to a variety of dance forms. Please see our schedule for up to date combo class offerings.

Ballet

Fundamentals of placement, positions and vocabulary of classical ballet technique are taught.Each class will explore classical ballet technique through various barre exercises, stretches, center exercises, jumps, and traveling ballet steps.As students become more advanced with their classical ballet technique they will be able to move from beginner levels into our placement classes. Pointe classes are available by audition only.

Hiphop

Hip Hop is a fast, high energy type of dance seen in music videos and commercials. Our age appropriate Hip Hop classes will get your dancer excited about dance while keeping her/him active and fit! As always our Hip Hop classes are taught to inspire your dancer and cultivate their self esteem in a structured, fun class setting.

Tap

Our tap classes emphasize the clarity of sounds combined with movement of the entire body to create this unique form of dance. A fun, high-energy teaching approach makes this style of dance one of the most enjoyable to learn. Broadway style tap as well as Rhythm tap will be taught throughout the dance year.

Jazz

Jazz classes combine traditional jazz styles such as Giordano, Fosse, Swing and Broadway with the ever changing styles and trends of contemporary popular culture. Each fun and challenging class consists of the basic steps, vocabulary, and variations of the dance form with unique moves, rhythmic patterns and variations, body isolations, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns.

Lyrical / Contemporary

Lyrical and Contemporary dancing are most known for conveying emotion and following very closely the mood of the musical accompaniment. Both of these styles of dance draws upon the technique of ballet, modern and jazz. Dancers draw on their technique and combine it with maturity of expression to create and perform fantastic pieces of lyrical and contemporary dancing.
